The B&B "Le Fate del Lago" sits in the heart of the pedestrian precinct of Lierna,
a charming and popular heritage village.
The house, built in 1834, has been recently modernized to include all the comforts of home in a traditional local setting.
Our B&B is particularly well situated, only 500 meters from the small railway station, and 200 meters from the beach and from the pier of the boat lines.
Only a few steps away, with a short walk among the gorgeous old villas, you can reach the beautiful beach "Riva Bianca",

impressing cove of white stones, boasting with wonderful panoramic "Views over" the lush green mountain slopes, the medieval Castle and the headland of Bellagio.

The pretty village of Lierna situated on the eastern side of Como Lake offers to it's quests various possibilities of entertainment; such as romantic strolling close in to the shore or at the ancient village of Castello, relaxing and swimming in the clear waters of the shore of "Riva Bianca" and "Grumo" or running along the more engaging "Sentiero del Viandante".
The surroundings offer remarkable touring, cultural, sporting and culinary opportunities.

BY CAR:
By car from Milan (SS36), Como or Bergamo following the direction to Lecco-Sondrio. In the tunnel you'll see the signpost to Lecco: do not drive that way but drive on in the tunnel following the way to Abbadia Lariana/Mandello/Varenna (SP72) and drive on for about 10 km.
From Switzerland Skt. Gotthard pass, or Skt. Bernhard pass, drive to Menaggio, take the ferry boat (www.comoeilsuolago.it) get off at Varenna or Lierna.

BY AIR:
From Malpensa airport: take the shuttle bus to Milan's terminal at Stazione Centrale, then take the train line to Lecco/Sondrio/Tirano, change in Lecco and take the train to Sondrio www.trenitalia.it), and get off at Lierna. If you prefer you can, of course, rent a car.
From Orio Al Serio airport: rent a car and take the motorway A4, drive out in Bergamo or Dalmine and drive on to Lecco. There you take the train to Lierna. Or you can take the shuttle bus to Milan's Central Station and there you take the train to Lecco and then to Lierna.
From Linate airport: rent a car and take the TANGENZIALE EST, drive on to Lecco/Sondrio (SS36). or take the bus 73 to the terminal San Babila (in Milan), take the underground MM3 - the yellow line - to Stazione Centrale, then take the train to Lecco/Sondrio/Tirano (www.trenitalia.it), change in Lecco and get off at Lierna.

HOW TO PARK IN LIERNA:
The B & B is situated in the pedestrian zone. Nearby you will find a paying parking place, shown by the blue stripes (you can buy the parking tickets from the ticket machines on the parking place). You also have free parking places within the white stripes in the Via Volta, at the railway station and on the way to the Town Hall in the higher part of Lierna.
